From The Scrapbook
Then & Now.

We opened the Indian Trading Post in 1967 while researching the possibility of opening an authentic Indian Village. The village opened in 1971. Chief Red Dawn, Santee Sioux storyteller, performed at the village for several years with his adopted son, Blue Eagle.
"I am relieved that here, at last, is the finest effort to provide a showcase as an acceptable living tribute to the American Indian." Chief Red Dawn
After many enjoyable years, the village and the trading post closed in 1983.
