Indoor Winter Golf Leagues at Funspot in the Weirs begin on Monday, November 12 and sign-ups are now being accepted. The leagues will run every Monday through Thursday and there will be 18 weeks of league play. Funspot’s Indoor Golf Center is home to the Lakes Region’s only state-of-theart golf simulators where players can choose from over 30 different famous courses from around the world and drive, chip and putt just like they’re really “Local golf pros have been amazed,” says Golf League coordinator Chris Ferguson, “It’s as close to the real thing as you can get with accurate readings on shots that play exactly as if you’re on the course.” The league format is 4 player teams broken into twosomes playing against twosomes from other teams.
“The first two weeks of play are to establish handicaps,” says Ferguson. “This way players at different skill levels can feel comfortable playing against each other and just have a lot of fun.”
Practice starts at 6pm with league play commencing at 6:30. League play is $15 per night and $20 deposit is required which goes towards prizes awarded weekly and at the end of the season.
